Obituary for Thomas Pandolf

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Beloved Dad, Grandfather, and husband, Thomas Pandolf on July 23, 2020. He was 89 years young. Thomas was born on December 27, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY. He was one of four children born to Nicholas and Margaret Pandolf. Tom devoted his life to public service. He enlisted in the US Navy during the Korean War. After serving honorably for 4 years, he went on to serve with the New York Police Department. He retired as a Detective, but not before he saved countless lives, delivered a baby, and even assist in the capture of a lion! After Tom retired from the NYPD, he went on to work as the Head of Corporate Security for AIG. He fully retired in 2002. Tom was most famous for his (sometimes corny) jokes and huge sense of humor. He had an incredible ability to make you laugh, and always had the right words to say in times of comfort. To know Tom was to love him! Tom loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He never missed a sports game, or a birthday party. Thomas is survived by his wife Julie, his children Thomas, Scott, Doug, Liana, Christina, and Gregor and their respective spouses Denise, Sue, Melissa, Jay, Omar and Alba. Tom also leaves behind his grandchildren Thomas, Jaclyn, Jessica, Julia, Kasenya, Zachary, Jeremy, Jonathan, Noor, Zain, Joseph and Gloria. He was also blessed with 2 great-grandchildren, Hudson and Maisie. Tom’s most loved and loyal dog, Barkley will also miss him dearly. He will forever be in our hearts and will always be our Angel.

The Family of Thomas N. Pandolf request in lieu of flowers, kindly make a donation to:
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Thank You.

I am so very deeply saddened by Tom's passing I can not begin to express it. He is one of the best souls I have ever met. kind and compassionate. I loved working with him, he was the best boss I ever had, professional and a specialist in his field of Security. He had the best stories of his days in the PD. I will always remember him, Phil and Carol for their great stories and pranks. We had the best times and as hard as we worked you could hardly call it work. There was a terrible void when he left and we were not able to work with him, it was never the same. My heartfelt condolences to Julie and his family I know you will cherish all the memories you made with him as I will. Prayers for him always.
