Obituary for William Richard Ridky

William R. Ridky of New York, N.Y. passed away peacefully on April 30, 2020 at the age of 81. William (Bill) was born on November 5, 1938 and was predeceased by his loving parents, Mother Mary E. Ridky and Father William A. Ridky of Bronx, N.Y. Bill Ridky is a Veteran of The Armed Forces, proudly serving with The National Guard. He was a graduate from Baruch College with a Business Degree majoring in Business Administration. Most of his adult life was spent working for KPMG as a Supervisor in office Administration. Bill has truly enjoyed these last 10 years of retirement and was deeply devoted to his family and friends. In Bill’s earlier years, he was an avid walker around town and most enjoyed taking in the sights and history of his hometown, The Big Apple. His passion for gardening really shone in his stunning Rosebushes and was never shy about sharing his wealth of knowledge. Mr. Ridky spent much time traveling out to Long Island visiting his loved ones.
William R. Ridky leaves behind his beloved sister Mary Ellen Sullivan of Greenlawn, N.Y. They shared a most unique, loving, lifelong bond. Nephews Kevin P. Sullivan of Germany, Brian W. Sullivan of NYC, N.Y., Nieces Carolyn Hunt of Greenlawn, N.Y., Cathy Meuser (Rick) of Huntington Station, N.Y. and Laurene Napurano(Russell) of Huntington, N.Y. Also many Great Nieces, Nephews and Beloved friends.
The immediate family will have a private viewing on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at Provenzano Lanza Funeral Home, 43 2nd Ave, NYC, N.Y. Interment immediately following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, N.Y.
